Welcome to Loveland Community House!  Loveland has many beautiful rooms to rent for your next special event! Or you can rent the whole building for a $1,500.00. Plan your wedding or reception or the your next big event here! The dining room seats 200 people and offers a full kitchen. Click below to see all the room rental options. Mr. & Mrs. Loveland spent their lives in Dixon and vicinity and were vitally interested in the progress of this community. The felt that every normal individual craves and is entitled to a social life. They generously provided the building and equipment for the use of all who cared to participate in its activities. 

Building or Rooms for Rent

We offer room rental in a variety of sizes for your special events. These include a Dining Hall seating up to 200 people which can include a raised stage, room for dancing, a DJ or small band the Ladies or Mens Lounge offer classic appointments and vaulted ceilings.  Rent the whole building for your wedding or event!

The Loveland Community House and Museum hosts exhibits such as a full length portrait of the John Dixon, the Founder of Dixon, Illinois, some of the original chemistry equipment from founder Charles Walgreens first drug store, Civil War weapons, artifacts, great art exhibits and more!

About Loveland

One of the main purposes Mr. and Mrs. George C. Loveland had in mind when making provision for the community house was to perpetuate the name of the family the located in Dixon more than 175 years ago. Otis Loveland, the grandfather of George C.
